Keep or return - blue and silver cord skinnies/straight legs

I bought these cord straight legs today on a whim. They are blue and silver - I saw the fabric from afar and just had to try them on! They're from MAC, but they had a 60% discount, so they were fairly cheap.

What do you think about the fabric? Angie, I know you won't like it.

Is the fit okay and do they look good? What about the length, are they too long? They only had this length in my size, so I couldn't try the shorter ones. I thought they were kind of cool, or am I delusional?

I vote YAY. They look comfy and casual, and you really seem to like them. All good things! The only criticism I have is they look about 1 1/2 inches too long. Length should be easy to fix, though!

They fit you well! Just need to bring the hem up a little. I love straight leg cords for fall and winter. The only thing is they making the "swish" sound when I walk due to slightly full thighs.

Hi, Astrid. I think skinnies as a look are great for you. This particular pair...I think bagginess down around the ankle is very common, but in your trousers, the whole area below the knee seems to bag out. I'm wondering if it's hard to find shorter-inseam pants where you are? Anyway, it doesn't kill the look--maybe just would be preferable to hem, or to find slightly shorter jeans, if possible.

I like them! In the photos, they read like jeans, so with the versatility of jeans and the warmth of cords, I'd say they are keepers. They do need to be shortened, but otherwise they fit nicely and look cute and sassy on you.

Thanks for the input everyone! I could shorten them a little bit myself, no problem. I've done that before. Mochi, I'm usually between a 30 and a 32 inseam. These are 32er, but they didn't have the 30 in my size anymore because of the sale.

I like them on you! They fit great around the back, very nice. I would definitely shorten them, they will have a cleaner line. And I think stacking around the ankle is waning in popularity. Don't use your regular inseam as you would for bootcuts. My bootcut inseam, worn with flats is 31". For skinnies, I hem them to 29". The stacking creates horizontal lines and shortens the legs (that's why I'm glad the look is moving to a sleeker more fitted silhouette).

Thanks, Denise! That makes sense with the stacking around the ankle - I'd pin them to different lengths and make some pictures for evaluation before hemming them. You could all help me decide then, because I'm always a bit unsure when it comes to PPL.

I love how they fit your backside, and how they curve and leave no gaps at your waist. Perfect. I know from experience that curvy girls have issues with fit too many times, so these are keepers for sure
