The bee blazer Angie showed us arrived today (in 6 sizes!) and this is the one that fit the best. I am well and truly on the fence. On the one hand it's super cute. On the other hand it's pretty casual -- the twill is almost a corduroy and I'm not 100% sure I'd wear this jacket to work, even with a pencil skirt and silk blouse. (And it's not styled in the photos, obviously, although I do love it with the yellow skinnies!)

I'm thinking that the fact I"m this undecided means it should go back. What say you ladies? Be honest!

it sounds stiff and that is always my fabric deal-breaker. To my eye it's good but not a 10 compared to your other jackets!

I don't know, it looks a little short especially with the skinny jeans. Can we see it with the bee blouse and a pencil skirt? And a closeup of the blazer?

It is cute but your instinct of too casual is right, and maybe it is just too "cute" for you. Your casual is quite a bit more urban or sophisticated or edgy or something...

It looks shorter than your other jackets and top layers , maybe a bit stumpifying to the torso region?

I like it but....can't out my finger on what I'm not sure about here. Could you style it for us? I think I need to see it in an outfit

Love the print, actually, but the cut seems a little short and boxy. My eye is liking longer, fitted jackets these days, so take that into consideration. You have a very visceral response to your clothing --- you like to be really enjoy what you're wearing -- it goes far beyond being on trend, flattering and appropriate for you. Will you get up and pull it from your closet saying, "Oh yes! I get to wear this today?"

And yes, the yellow skinnies are terrific!

I'd go with your gut here MaryK - your instincts are pretty tuned in. If the fabric is not what you were wanting, then send it back. I wondered from the close up on the website about the fabric. That's too bad.

We saw it in person in DC meetup and all agreed it just wasn't going to be easy to pull off and not look like a lady at the yacht club. I was not a fan of the corduroy-like fabric either. You have many many much better items at your disposal.

But those yellow skinnies are fantastic! I just ordered these and am thinking I need yellow clothes to go with them -but a butter yellow most likely (how's that for creating a wardrobe hole?)

It's too small for sure - the sleeves look too short by a couple of inches. I'd vote "nay."

It's a hair's breadth short, but you actually look very smart in it. I don't know that it's you tho. I think of your style as sophisticated in a less quirky way.

Can you believe it? I tried on these awesome flat oxfords at the DC Rack , but I just can't see myself in flat ones. These popped up this week on 6pm for a song so I snapped them up. I should have gotten the silver (more versatile) but I couldnt' resist the yellow and grey. (there are white and black too)
