Or rather, which ones should I keep?

Strappy wedges -- Jeffrey Campbell (on my right foot)
Leather slides -- Arturo Chiang.

The JCs are more trendy, but the wedge is quite high without a platform (3+ inches).

The Arturo slides have a more modest heel/wedge, plus a platform.

Thanks for helping ... I've had a hard time with my white sandal quest.

Can you deal with that thingy between your toes? They always drive me kinda nuts after a while. I like the ones on the right foot better but I'd like to see the rest of the shoe.

The JC's win far and away by looks, IMO. Are they that uncomfortable?

I'm going to waffle - they have very different vibes to me. I would wear the slide, but I like the look of the JCs.

Once again the JCs win out. No they are not that uncomfortable. The others are just more comfortable, but the JCs aren't bad, although I wouldn't call them walking shoes.

I think I am having a hard time committing to them because, for me, they were pricey. They came to over $170 with the sales tax and insoles. And I estimate I will wear them maybe 8 times max over the whole summer. I didn't have so much trouble committing to expensive shoes 10 years ago... that's what this recession has done to me.

Do you think this style will stick around for another season???

I also love the JC's but are 8 times this summer worth it when the others are more comfortable? Would the more comfortable ones get worn more and also fill in that gap you are trying to fill?

The JC's. I think they will suit 'your' style next season even if they aren't the hottest thing to come down the runway in 2012. You do love chunkier, platform shoes, right? If you also get 8 or 9 wears next year, they are now $10 cost per wear shoes.
Easy for me to say, when I have a heck of a time contemplating any purchase over $100!

I love the JCs, but I couldn't handle the heel. Too bad they aren't an inch shorter.

I vote pass on both! Sorry. The JCs are totally adorable, but it really doesn't sound like they are comfy enough for you, and I am not a big fan of the other pair. Sounds like you need something more comfy but with the style of the JCs.

I am going to stick with the JCs. Even though I am concerned about the cost per wear. I do like them, and they got rave reviews. Hopefully I will wear them more often because I will fall in love with them. With clothing, I can wear things for an hour, move around in them, and decide if they are my style. This does not work at all with shoes; I don't have carpeting and I have 4 dogs so it is a constant struggle to keep my floors half-way clean.

Maybe I can dye them next season to bring new life into them, the white is more limiting than a neutral color. Rae and Vix have done this.

Denise, I love the JCs, but if they don't make you want to wear them everyday (at that price point) then I question keeping them? I think those shoes are awesome, though!
