I am on the phone, so will be brief. Just received few packages and need your help with keep or return. This are Br sloan pants. In orange! I wll not wear tnem like this, but could not resist combining them with the rest of orange items already in my closet. Exact match!
What do you think? Too bright? Too tight?

Wow I love the colour on you! They may be a *touch* tight but other Sloan wearers may be able to chime in and tell you whether they stretch out a bit. Are you happy with the back view?

I love your style, Anchie, and am glad you're showing us more.

The pants aren't too bright for my taste, but they are tighter than I'd feel comfortable wearing. (Thought it's hard to tell whether the pulling i'm seeing is from the way you're standing or from the fit.)

All the orange is so fun!

The color is fabulous, as is the style on you. Personally I'd want them a little looser, and I would consider wearing them exactly as you are showing them, with the blazer and shoes. Not exclusively, of course, but definitely sometimes. It's such a polished, bold look, and you glow in it. Maybe that coral-orange is your signature color?

Yes, Liz I agree with you that they are probably too tight. That is why I am so unsure about them. This is my first pair of sloans and was not sure about sizing. But color is fun, can't wait for spring now.

the pulling concerns me, but i do think sloans are meant to be fitted with all the stretch in them. if size up, you may end up with stretchy bagged out problems, so just be careful to assess before cutting tags.

Gorgeous color on you! Agree with others that it looks as if there is some slight pulling going on in front. Perhaps sizing up would eliminate this concern. It would be worth a try as the pants are quite fantastic.

Fabulous bold look! I would try a size up to see what is gained or lost in the look.
I never know whether to fit for stretching out or for shrinkage.

I would size up definetly but it seems that this color is leftover from last year. It was deeply discounted and only available in this size. I tried my luck ordering it hoping they would fit. I can try stalking them in bigger size.
Still hoping that sloan owner will tell me that they will stretch

LOVE this color (orange is also my happy color!). Looks like you've got some info on the fit; it's a little tough to tell with the pose and camera angle. I gotta put in a big PLUS for the orange-out suit though. Totally love it.

I have many pairs of Sloans. I would say they stretch out a bit with wear, but more in a comfortable way, not an increase in size sort of way, if that makes any sense at all. It's more that they "give" than that they stretch. I buy them to fit, not snug, and not loose. I haven't had any issues with them shrinking in the wash, but some have (if you read the reviews).

Now, I say that but I did find the Sloan 5 pocket leggings stretched out a lot with wear... I had sized up two sizes (should have realized that was weird!) and went back to get the size smaller as well. They were so comfy, and navy, so I was quite all right with two pairs.

I love this orange colour. I'd like to see more angles and a shot without the jacket to tell you if they fit like mine do.

Elizabeth P, that is very useful info. They basically fit me the same as the model, but I am not so thin, of course. I have even some gaping at the back.

Angie, could not believe I got killer to the power of killer. So unexpected. Don't know if you realized, but this is the same orange Zara blazer that you have.

Sheila, top is actually just a tee, 2-3 seasons old, from a company called Passport.

I'm going against the grain here - pants with that much stretch are, I think, meant to be worn pretty close-fitting. Angie hasn't weighed in on the fit but I know she has mentioned that the Sloans are a close-fitting pant. It's choice of course, and we know that we can always size up to make clothes fit the way we want them to -- but when I had Sloans, I wore my regular size. They were close-fitting just like yours are here. The stretch in the pant made them very easy to move in, and they did stretch over the course of the day. I absolutely hate a saggy butt with this kind of pant (that has a stiffish fabric with a lot of stretch), so I would definitely not size up. Just me.

PS Your incredible orange outfit is making me very much regret not snapping up that Zara blazer when I saw it on sale last year. It really looks amazing on you. Plus, that bag!!!!!

I'd agree with Viva. If your sloans fit like the model, and esp if you have some gapping, I think you'll find a size up too loose for this style. They're really not the right type of pant to "size up", as I found out with my navy 5 pocket leggings ones. I got some a size up (well two, that style runs small) as that felt comfortable, but within a couple of hours they felt too big. Not oversized in a BF way, but baggy and big. The closer fitting size is perfect (wearing the black version today).

This is so awesome! I think the pants fit the way they should - IMO pants like sloans with that much stretch look and feel odd when sized up because the stretch still wants to conform to your body, so a looser fit tends to end up bunchy rather than drapey. Anyway, I think as long as they're comfy you're good to go. Also, in my experience whiskering on pants is much more obvious in photos than irl.

Diane, viva, Elizabeth and Diana - thank you for your feedback and kind words, I am starting to reconsider.
To my surprise, my husband, who is very conservative, don't understand trends (I still have to explain to him that cropped pants are not too short, that they are meant to be like that) and dislikes tight and attention grabbing clothing, actually likes this pants and even the whole orange outfit. So maybe they are not too tight IRL like they look in the picture. Or I am trying to convince myself

Love all the orange with the dark floral! Pants look great to me. I am also a Sloan owner and find they do stretch out during the day. Mine are just a smidge looser, but they wind up close to saggy butt territory by the end of the day.

I think light/bright colours do show slight pulling, etc, more than dark colours, and this fit would be not be drawing any attention in black. Given all the factors, I say KEEP. I think your great love for this colour, your DH's approval, and the fact you already have one amazing outfit with some obvious variations to work with - I have no doubt you will wear these pants and love them!
