I love this Deborah. It's beautiful.
You're right. I do feel like 'I have to like them' but do not actually like them at all. Both are not in sync with the style statement I want to make and are absolutely not exciting.
I know of a good home for them. I'm friends with a lady who lives with daughters my age and they love to take my clothes, bags and shoes. This family is very charitable and I work with the lady to educate underprivileged kids and rescue dogs off the streets. I think they will do justice to these.
Astrid, it's so sweet of you to mention that it might be wasteful to give away these shoes and find replacements when I've never worn them. But I already have low heeled brown pumps that I love and a pair of cobalt blue peep toes that I love. These two sit in my shoe collection only because I feel pressured to like them, they don't fit a wardrobe hole for me.
I will never buy anything similar to me. I assessed my shoe collection and found that I'm not drawn to patterns in footwear (although I do have a soft floral pattern wedge sandal in pink that I like). I like to keep patterns only on my top, never bottom. I much prefer solid color shoes or those with tonal detailing and croc/snakeskin finish. Or, I like animal prints. But while I love polka dots and checks in clothes, they are not working for me in shoes.
Thank you so much for your help Astrid and Deb. I'll pack these off and drop them at my friends place today evening. I already feel better
