I've decided to keep the KC Cedar City shoes. I wore them around the house a few days, and the straps loosened up just enough. Then I wore them out and about all day long yesterday. My day included a farewell luncheon with my coworkers (I'm starting a new position, same company, in July) which involved some walking but not a lot, and then out to the theater with DH which involved walking on cobblestone streets.

The positives:

1. Versatile! The pewter metallic will go with anything and everything in my closet.

2. Adorable! They are just soooo cute!

3. Flattering! Angie is right about the pewter being akin to a nude for the leg-lengthening effect. Also, the 3-inch wedge does amazing things to the leg. I couldn't help but admire my legs all day long.

4. I felt so TALL in these!

Negatives:

1. My bottom of my feet sweat in them. There's something about the material. This was a bit of a disappointment.

2. The last strap rubbed and cut into the cuticles of my toes. I think this is partly because they are just a tad too tight still and more narrow feet/less bulky toes may not have this issue. I also suspect that applying some moleskin to this last strap will solve this issue. I'm dubious about using the shoe stretcher on them, because the straps are perfect everywhere else - it's just this last strap.

3. Height took some getting used to. I can walk in 3 inch pumps, but a wedge that high took some practice. But by end of day, I had it down - and found them quite stable even on cobblestones!

I suspect if I can solve the strap problem with moleskin, these could be 4-hour shoes for me. I don't think there is a solution for the sweating issue, but these are just so cute, I'm going to learn to live with it.
