A lot of this is not coming home with me, because I also am buying and tailoring 3 bras and a bunch of my fave boy short undies. Commentary later with finds when I'm not on mobile. Here's what I tried on (except for those that were outright "heck no's!")
(Edited: Commentary added below.)
I've never spent this much at NAS before. Yikes!
My goals this year:
Fill holes; don't buy near-duplicates of what I already have - I.e. a blouse or dress in similar color/print to one I own- unless I'm replacing a worn out item (like intimates) or getting a distinctly different pattern/color in a wardrobe workhorse.
Shop for MY closet and MY body.
Specifically, a major hole was activewear/loungewear, because I spend a LOT of time at the dog park or going on walks with my pup, and I want more clothing that feels comfortable but looks decent.
I was hoping to find a rain jacket too but that didn't happen this year. Oh well!
Overview of what's coming home - added specific items and Finds.
Two jackets:
Black pleather Kut from the Kloth jacket (I have last year's in dark brown, one of my best finds) - #7
Purple peplum Zella zip up jacket: #2
2 blouses:
Halogen tie neck in burgundy/floral: #10
Pleione short sleeved faux-wrap in orange print (got a turquoise version last year): #5
1 dress (now 2!)
Originally was going to get the Eliza J. fit and flare dress in #6. My mom and sister said I CANNOT leave without it.
But everyone also really loved the burgundy Halogen dress, similar cut but with deeper pleats, in #4. The forum feedback swayed me to return for this one as well.
Both dresses are fit and flare but are also more drop waist than I usually wear - drop waist NEVER works on me, but these are cut well for me.
Here's where we get exciting: PANTS! Long time YLF members may be shocked that I came home with so many pants.
2 Zella workout pants:
Bees Knees capris: #2. These have some semi-transparent mesh triangles that are actually very flattering.
"Work it" pants, which can either be worn ruches into capris or long as wider leg pants. Super soft and lightweight. #8. Not shown to best advantage in photo, but trust me, they are great.
1 long leggings (Zella "Live In")
2 pair jeans:
NYDJ "Ski" zip pocket: #10 & 13. (Another item where my mom said "You MUST take these home.")
NYDJ bootcuts: #14. Hard to see in photo, but a great, very dark wash bootcut jean.
1 pair pants: NYDJ "Ski" zip pocket, which I may not have photographed, but they fit the same as the gray jeans.
1 pair booties: Franco Sarto burgundy "Granite" bootie, #1. Low heel! Double zip! Slightly pointy toe but wide enough in the toe box for my feet! WIN!
3 bras: Chantelle "Rive Gauche", bought at correct cup size but too big in band, and will be tailored for a firmer fit and better long term support. (This is what the bra fairies did last year.)
10 undies: Nordstrom brand boy shorts (formerly Shimera
LOTS of hard choices this year. I had a HUUUGE pile to sort through, and the photos here only show the stuff I liked/almost liked enough to buy, not the items I outright rejected.
One item that I still might order: the Ro & De Tie Neck Blouse in the navy with polka dots. I was hoping to try it in person but didn't see it at my store.

I tried on the Munro Abby slingback sandals in golden taupe, which are soooo gorgeous and soft, but they aren't even close to fitting my high instep. That's fine; sandals are not made for Seattle's dominant season, so I probably would have passed them by anyway (there were a lot of great pieces that almost made my list, but I was getting so much as is!) The burgundy booties excited me much more.

My mom and sister really liked the Nic & Zoe "Splash Twirl" dress, pictured in #3, but I didn't love it. It was just a little too short; I could have made do with it but the proportions were not as flattering to my eye as the 2 sleeveless dresses.

I liked the Classiques midi in #9, and allllmost got it home, but my shopping team strongly preferred how #6 fit me instead, so the long sleeved midi stayed at the store.
The Classiques turquoise jacket is great - it even has magnetic clasps! - but the cut wasn't QUITE what I had hoped, and I think the bracelet sleeves would have bugged me. Plus, with the cost of the coat, I would have had to give up a few other items that I really wanted to take home.
