Can we talk about this? I love it! I think this is a sign of the times, and signals that women are done with having to play by some archaic stiletto-wearing rule in the political world. I would bet someone advised her to wear sensible flats instead but she insisted on being herself and wearing her collection of Converse. She and I are the same age, and honestly, I would do the same. I like that her blazers say business but the shoes say she’s ready to hit the ground running.

Not talking politics here — just the implications of the style statement.
