Both of these items are orders from the Bloomingdales sale. I have been planning to get knee high black boots to wear with dresses and skirts this fall. And, as ever, I am hoping to wear more dresses (it brings happiness to my husband) so I'm looking for some long sleeved pieces for the fall.
My thoughts on the Bailey 44 dress: it's a soft viscose knit, not very heavy. The item description says faux leather skirt. I think it just looks shiny and pleated, which is okay. The drop waist is nice to balance my wide shoulders, but I think there is not enough narrowness in the middle. Opinions?
The Cole Haan boots are a good height and are comfortable, except that if I sit in a low chair they press behind my knee. For the price I thought they'd be a little softer, but I don't have many tall boots so perhaps they need to be on the stiffer side to stay up?
Note: I would likely wear this with tights (probably grey or burgundy with the black dress). Just going for the higher contrast bare legs in the photo to make the items easier to see.
Anyway, I'm interested to hear your thoughts overall.
ETA: I tried the dress on again. IIT seems that the back length doesn't work for me. It's definitely shorter in back than in front. It's going back. I think I am doing to keep the boots, because I'm a fan of the height, narrow heel, and the calf width.
