JK, I agree about how it seems easier to top off a casual outfit with a dressier coat. But then, for me, that’s really more practical anyway — I don’t own a suit or work in an office, so my dressing is more casual by nature. I’m always trying to find a way to casual-ize my dressier items by incorporating them into a typical day outfit. Extending that to my coat collection seems like a good next step! I had barely worn this coat in the last couple of years, and now I’ve worn it two days in a row. It feels good to give my puffers and short coats a break.

This really highlights the power of the Third Piece - whether it's a topper, scarf or belt, I find a 3rd piece helps to elevate 'clothes I happened to throw on together' into an 'actual' outfit (IYKWIM?)
Side note: This is probably why I really struggled when I first came to HK - for 9 months, it's too hot for a topper as 3rd piece!
Great colours I love the burgandy with the blue. Yes I agree we should wear our clothes. Mind you its hard to get out of the mindfix of keeping our "nice" clothes for special occasions.
