Just bought a pair of high waisted shorts with little lovehearts on...

I would never have looked twice at them. But the salesgirl convinced me to try them...they're cute!

They're similar to these, but black with tiny white lovehearts in different sizes.

They're such thin breezy cotton and sooooo comfy. I'm seeing them with fitted tanks tucked in. Any other ideas?

Congrats on an impulse purchase!!!
I like the way the girl in the pic sports them. I think I'd add a "boyfriend" white button down shirt over the tank (maybe one of those white silky tunics for less edge? or a cardi to play it safer(?) but not so much fun;)), unbuttoned, belted with a black skinny belt like she's wearing in the pic.
I can also see the shorts worn with a marine striped top. Although now that I think about this more, you should feel free to experiment a lot with this, because quirky is what you will WANT to get out of the look. Make it fun fun fun!
