A friend came over to pick up her son from a play date and was lamenting the lack of practical yet attractive shoes for Alaska. We realized that to work here, a shoe ideally must slip on and off easily (because we take shoes off inside the home), be durable, versatile and comfortable, have a manageable heel, look somewhat attractive, and be worth the price.
Yet this is the look we are both trying to avoid, because it is SO common - every other mom is wearing them at the playground after school...
Are Danskos common where you are?
