I'm taking two dresses on my trip to SF and I thought I'd share them both today because I spent a bit of time this morning deciding how to wear them. Besides attending some symphony concerts and operas, I also am attending a funeral of a close friend on our way there. The funeral will take place outdoors and I'm planning to wear the first dress with my sandals. I'll probably wear sneakers with it for museums and city walking. The second dress will work well for the performances and the boots are great for walking the hills of SF. The first dress has a really high slit on each side seam, so leggings are a must for modesty.

So sorry to hear about your friend But lucky going to SF-be sure to hit the Exploratorium! The first outfit is my favorite, I like the silver shoes with it.

JAileen: It's been hot here, too so I'm not surprised. We won't get there until Tuesday but hopefully the weather will go back to normal.

shevia: Thank you. My dress is cotton so should be OK for hot weather. I did try to lighten things up with the necklace and shoes but the snaps add a bit of sparkle, too.

Angie: DH picked out the second dress and I wore it 5 times on our trip last year to SF. I did seem to fit in with the eclectic scene.

Christie J: My close friend was actually my former mother-in-law and she was 98 years old last December. We always got along really well and I will miss her.

flower child: Thank you. The dress looks like an ordinary shirtdress but the slits on the sides are almost as high as my crotch. I almost sent back the dress until I figured out that I could wear it with leggings.
