Jumping in the deep end of the pool: the butt vest.

Despite my fear that mine will be the first body you all hate this highly controversial article of clothing on. I was the happy buyer of Suz's skirted leggings. I'm looking at this as my spring wildcard.

1. gap fit longsleeve tee, All Saints Verney vest, Fergie command boots. I love all the knee high boot looks I've seen. Tall boots are the ultimate HEWI for me between my short height and muscular calves.

2. Bobeau tree print top.

3. Flora Mortis. I like my favorite tee over the gap top.=)

Honest feedback welcome, just be nice.

LOL, no... mine was the first body I disliked in the skirted leggings.. you look great:) I think you look fab. The proportions are good and you have kept the whole look quite edgy.. nice work.

Okay, they look 500 times better on you than me! Love them especially in #3. That top is one of my favourites on you. #1 is difficult to see fully, but it looks good from what I can tell. Ditto #2.

Enjoy them!! And thank you for saving me from my mistake.

(Slinks off like a dog with its tail between its legs, still a bit sad that these did not work for me...)

Big yay here! I agree these are great on you, Shedev. I especially like the AllSaints pieces with them. Love the proportions in #1. You give the skirted leggings your edgy look, and I find them very flattering on you.

Suz, skirted leggings DO look good on you. Very much so. It was the particular pair that didn't *feel* quite right, which you felt right from the start. The concept is worth pusuing.

Shedev, FWIW, I like the concept of skirted leggings for your style very much. The casual layered vibe in columned black is very suited to your style persona. I do find that the skirt part on this pair a little tight and short. And the skirt probably creeps up when you stride, which makes it even shorter. Ideally, I'd have liked to see a size up with more ease and length. I am a stickler for fit and length, so take my opinion for what it is worth to you. I am in the minority in thinking this way.

Since Angie has said it, I will agree with her that this looks a little more fitted and short than I'd like (how much taller than me are you?). But I also feel like you are comfortable in that kind of look, which is why I didn't mention It at first. To my eye the skirt needs to hang straighter as a key to this style.

And Suz, the skirted leggings fit you perfectly except in your mind... and that's the hardest body part to fit. Tell me you haven't given up!

Suz, I completely agree with Angie and Una. They looked good on your body, but they weren't as crisp as we associate with your style.

Angie and Una. I'll agree that these are a little tight in the hips. It does make the skirt part look a little shorter. I have lost 10 lbs (2" off my hips) lately doing PN so who knows how they will fit in the spring. If I don't like the way they fit when the temps warm up, I have someone I will give them to. I hesitated on these at first because I wasn't seeing them on anyone with a similar shape. But I was intrigued so I had to try them. Some of it is that I carry my weight in my hips and some is my bone structure. I've been a little heavier and a whole lot thinner, but I'm still gonna be a little hippy. Una, I'm just under 5 foot, but I'm actually kinda leggy for my height. I'm pretty forgiving of the imperfections of my body. I'm really strong for my size, and a strong body is a good body in my mind.

Wow, I thought you were way taller than me! I'm 5'2". I also think certain items photograph differently than they look IRL,. I always seem to have something slightly off in pictures that is probably not there IRL, because I'm never standing still like that.
