Angie, you are right. It’s a relative thing. Even my flares (which are fitted around the hips and thighs) feel tight now. They are stretchy, but still! Looseness is addictive.

Thanks Lyn. I do love taking inspiration from nature and the outdoors. When I go for a walk with my husband I’m always stopping to take a photo to file away for colour inspiration.

Thanks Suz. Give it a go! I think because cargo pants are quite busy (what with all the pockets and all), a short jacket can look cleaner than a longer jacket.

If there is one overarching style descriptor theme of your wardrobe, + hair + makeup + palette, I would call it “Consistent Constant Killer”. You are always so spot-on 100% Brooklyn brand, and you are so good at introducing new ideas that are authentically you. I can’t even. I can only marvel!

I love the outfit formula of slouchy bottoms and cropped or fitted tops. And I am dying over how good that brown jacket is. I hope you keep it awhile longer!

I recall you’ve had a baroque influence. Is that still at play? Or have you pulled in other elements?

Thanks Mary Beth. That’s very kind

Yes, I still think I have a baroque/old world influence in my style. I think that tends to manifest itself mostly in my accessories and some patterns. Also in my love of metallics and bit of complexity. I am definitely not a minimalist! I still have a dark romantic influence too, especially in winter. I am aiming for a moody, glimmering and somewhat edgy look.

For Spring/Summer, I plan to lighten my palette. I’m starting to think about a desert theme but it’s still early!

Oh pretty! Thanks Angie! I will take a look at it. I think I will probably resist because mesh tops are strictly winter items for me and I’ve moved on to planning for Spring/Summer now.

Got it!

Nice colour combo to keep on your radar for your style

By the way, I got a patterned mesh top go with my new brown suit. You might like it

Ha ha Cee! Thanks!

Angie, yes I wear that colour combination. Probably more so in Spring. I love the Allsaints top too. I saw that here and was tempted. Allsaints do great patterns. Good neckline for us too. I am sure it will look fab on you
