Former SF stylist here! [or plays one on the internet] Fun fact: those cute clothes in the ads are almost never ever actually the stuff they sell.

"I
use to work as a stylist for StitchFix. So basically we do "hear" what
you say, but are sometimes limited by the inventory available, size, and
the biggest one--price. A client would write asking for specific items
and we just didn't have it and because we would have to create four
boxes per hour, we couldn't just wait it out in case inventory got
better.

I think it's a good idea
in theory, and all the people I worked with and for were great women. I
say StitchFix is for women who have a lot of disposable income and don't
like to shop, because you could get great pieces if you were will to
spend $100-$250 on items."
