Josef Seibel Sneakers as Chuck Taylor upgrade?

What are your thoughts on these? I love the look and they come in great colors, especially the metallics (although the red are also really cute). They seem like a more foot-friendly version of Converse.

I seem to recall that a bunch of gals on the forum bought those last fall when they were discounted for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I didn't, but I was looking at them for travel shoes a few weeks ago. I like 'em. I've worn Joseph Seibel shoes for a long time (they used to have these crazy textured foot beds that were removable and replaceable). They are comfy and well made.

I like them. I've been thinking about getting a pair because Converses just don't work with my feet. I didn't know about the metallics. I've seen the red IRL and they are gorgeous.That's the color I'd want to get.

I kind of like the black too. I had been thinking about getting a pair of black sneakers (my Cons are navy) so am leaning that way.

Those are an Angie recommended shoe from last year. Quite a number of forum members got them. Sarah has them and travelled around Europe in them last spring. Quite a few forum members got them. I also recall that they did not work for a few people -- I forget who, or what the issues were.

I have them in a neutral snakeskin print and love them. My foot is a tad wide and they are comfy for me.

I have these in a color called Grigio (brownish-green), and they are my favorite walking/travel shoes. I am planning a trip to Europe this summer and these shoes are the first item on my packing list. I find to be very versatile when I can only bring one pair of shoes (work with skinnies and straight jeans, ponte pants etc.).

I just received the silver metallic slip-ons from Zappos today. They're very cute, and I love the color/finish. I ordered them because I have very fussy feet. Unfortunately, these are going back as they rub my bunion.

I wore mine to threads. DH had to tell me that they were past due for replacement! Very comfy for us who cannot make cons or vans work on our feet.

I have these. Not that comfortable for my feet. They seem to run a bit small.

They do look good though--so for fun, not for serious walking.

I have these in grey and found them much better to wear when loads of walking is required. I took them on my summer vacation last year and they held up well comfort wise for about 8 hours. They are very well made - leather lined. They are in photo 2. I do also have a pair of slip on converse but find they are only good for a couple of hours - no serious walking.

I have them and love them. They are more comfortable to me than my cons, and I've found that I wear them almost exclusively over my cons. I have that metallic color which bookends my hair. I wore these all over Europe last spring and my feet were very happy, and my feet are never happy in my cons (granted, I have not sized up and added insoles, which is what I'm pretty sure Angie would recommend for Cons).
