Josef Seibel Mary Jane's in black?

I don't know if the recommendation only applies to the light color, but the black ones would work better for me. I'm picturing them with nicer outfits and with skirts and tights. Good choice? I hope so because they are already ordered.

i like them in black. the brown looks surprisingly rich. i've been moving toward less black-black shoes and looking for charcoal or a rich navy to wear with all the black. i find it lightens the look.

I like the brown too. I was worried about styling them since some people have said lately that dark brown shoes are hard to style. [shrug] And I wasn't sure how they would look with dark/black hose.

They look great in all the colours to me. Just depends what you need/want. Brenda, you don't have so much brown in your wardrobe, do you? I've seen more that would go with the black (I think).

Yes, while I really like the brown, I still think black is the best color for me. It works with my dark hair and I wear quite a bit of black. Maybe next year I can branch out and try some brown things. Right now I'm still in the "build from the ground up" stage so I need to stick with my most needed, will work with the most things, items.

Good rationale, start with the basics and go from there. You won't regret purchasing the black pair. You can always play with textured tights if you want to add a little interest.
