Ok. The longer jorts arrived in my actual size.
I apologize for the quality of the photos. It's just impossible to control the light and I can only do so much with my edits. However, here they are.
Threw them on as soon as they arrived yesterday with the top I was wearing....then today trying with a few other things in the Zara box that I'm trying (more on those later).
The fit is good. Quality decent. I like the look of them better than the others. They are fitted on the top and a bit A-line in the leg and come to just below the knee. My late mother would have referred to them as true culottes (something she wore a lot.)
I'm undecided....trying to think where and how I would wear them and whether I would reach for them over other options, and again, whether lightweight full length or cropped trousers might be a better summer uniform for me now than my old standby of shorts/ top.
For years, I hoped to join Brooklyn's skirt revolution but the right skirts never really appeared (or not many of them) and skirts are less practical on my bike (though I can wear them, since I have a low-step). Finally this year it occurred to me: Why not some of the lovely pants that are around? Why not indeed, esp. if I can find cotton/linen blends. Pure linen is too wrinkly, but cotton linen or good quality viscose with some cotton or linen could work perhaps?
