Thanks lovely ladies! I was on my way to lunch at the home of an older couple from church (with hubby) when I posted so given I was already wearing the outfit I was hoping I wasn't making a huge fashion blunder!
Nancylee, I love the idea of a jacket that pretty much can be thrown on over anything and denim jackets do seem to fit the bill.
Debora, I have been thinking about a denim jacket for a while and decided a "thrifted" one would be a good way to try without making a huge investment. This style and the shorter more cropped jackets are reasonably easy to find in our "OP Shops" as they do not seem to be that popular here at the moment.

modgrl, the dress has no waist but is actually not particularly full, I think the volume might be coming from my child bearing hips lol
Angie, I am totally blushing at your words I do so love fashion and style and that is such a lovely compliment to receive from you. I have learnt so much from you and the women here, most of which has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and mix things up a bit.
