Dear Fabbers,

There have been several interesting discussions lately about wardrobe editing and how long we keep our clothes and how long we expect them to last. Staysfit and Mainelady started two very interesting threads touching on these topics. How long do we keep our items? And which ones are we to keep and why? And how many do we keep?

This have triggered many thoughts. I have quite a few items in my wardrobe (clothing, not only accessories), which are 6 years old or more. Some of them I wear regularly and some of them not so much - they are beginning to be orphaned...

To get a better picture, if I want to keep them and why, I would like to start an "oldies but goodies" challenge. I will put together at least 7 outfits each containing at least one "oldie but goodie" - for me an item which has been in my wardrobe longer than 6 years. I will try to style the items in a new and fresh way. The "oldies but goodies" category will not comprise of accessories - I have large amount of such and not having any problems keeping them all. It will be only clothing.

I would be very happy if you guys would like to join me. You could of course make your own rules - count in accessories, shoes, count items which are newer in your wardrobe or older, more or less outfits or whatever you feel suits your wardrobe and would be fun.

So, what do you say? Anyone interested?

P.S. Today, I post a pic of an older WIW with one of my oldies - an Armani silk jacket which I bought about 7 years ago. Superb quality, used a lot and I still like it and wear it regularly. But tomorrow, the real challenge will start with a new outfit....
