Joe's Jeans: Fit question

Who has experience with Joe's Jeans?

I'm looking at these: http://www.zappos.com/joes-jea.....fade-black but I'm wondering about sizing. I know it's Zappos and I can send them back no problem, but if you were ordering Joe's, would you go with your usual size or would you size up?

I say usual size or even a size down. Joe's Jeans used to be the premium jeans brand for curvier bodies before skinnies became popular.

I have a couple of pairs and take my usual size. Agree with Tanya that they are curve-friendly.

Hmm. Those of you who've met me (hi Tanya!) or seen pictures know that I have no waist definition and not much hip curvature. Maybe Joe's are not the brand for me, though I know I have to try them to find out.

It does sound like you're saying they don't run small, though, right?

I find they run TTS or big; I usually have to size down.

I am not curvy on the bottom, no waist or hips, and the Provocateurs are a perfect fit on me. Maybe it's just that cut - I haven't tried others.

FWIW, I have not one single, identifiable curve, hip or waist to speak of either, and I love Joe's. I have three in various fits and I love them all. Mostly TTS, though one pair described as a very slim skinny I did size up on as I like a roomier fit. Best thing about them to me is that they never bag/stretch out and the longer I own them, the better they seem to fit.

I find their fit TTS if slightly roomy. Unless you want to go more body con, I'd stick with your usual size. The pair I have aren't roomy enough to justify sizing down.

I am athletic with toned butt and thin and have no waist. I wear a size 4 in banana republic and 25-26s in other brands. These I remember felt baggy I would go with "7 for all Mankind" if you have no waist and want a "fitted" fit.

I have three different pairs of Joes. The first pair I got seemed like a good fit in the store but within an hour of wear they streched out what I would consider a full size.The next 2 pairs I sized down and I am much happier with the fit throughout the day.

I'm a big fan of Joe's jeans and find they fit true to size. However, I'm a bit curvy-er than you April so I'm not sure Joe's will work on you. But I only have experience with the petite provocateur fit (which fits my pretty pear shape well) and I do not know the fit of their other styles.

But as I recall, Lisa, we share the issue of thighs that are slightly disproportionate to other dimensions. I can't stand when the thigh portion of jeans feels like a tourniquet and am always looking for jeans that are small in the hip area but more generous in the thigh and of course in the waist.

Yeah, like those exist.

I am looking for those exact same jeans April. I just bought three pairs of jolt jeans:

They are a perfect placeholder for now until I find better jeans. They are low quality but they fit better than any $200 pair of jeans I have tried.

I had NO idea my pants always fell down because of the size of my thighs. I am 115 pounds for Pete's sake and I can't even claim that they are muscular.

One more thing...I hang them to dry and stretch out the waist as far as I can before I hang them to dry. I even cut slits in the side of one of my pairs. They are my "bleacher -sitting forever mom jeans". Thank goodness they are less than $20.

Very true April!

My current jeans are the Joe's of course, and also: Lucky Brand Sweet n Low and Sweet n Straight, Gap Sexy Boot, BR skinny (petite), and a pair of black one's by CK called Curvy skinny that I got in the Jersey shore outlets.

Lisa, we must have the same shape because I own pretty much all the exact same jeans as you except for the CKs. I also have the most trouble with fit in the thigh area, which is why I love them. I'm definitely saving this thread as a reference.

And I'll add my vote for Joe's running true to size.

I would never attempt to order jeans online/catalog it has been my experience that each style among brands varies in sizing and fit.
