Please excuse the potty in the background. I did quite well at Joe Fresh today & bought three things I would normally never, ever try on.

Pic #1: Cropped, black pleated Joe Fresh trousers for $10 on sale & my new Franco Sarto platform sandals.

Pic #2: Joe Fresh patterned scarf $16

Pic #3: Joe Fresh patterned dress $29 (this dress needs an edge...it's a tad 'sweet' for me...probably the sandals and a jacket of some kind)

Oooh! I tried on the dress in #3 too when I was getting groceries last week; I felt it was too sweet on me, but it looks very pretty against your skin tone. I loled at the strawberry patterned dress they had

The pants look great on you, nice style! The scarf is beautiful too. I'm not as sold on the dress, but I think with an edge it could be really nice.

Oh, I love those cropped pants and the scarf. I really like the dress and will be interested to see how you add a tougher edge to it. Belt? Jacket? Please make sure you post a WiW when you style it!

Tonight I gave it a shot with the dress. Don't think I got it quite right with the sandals and jacket. If I wear the tan shoes, what colour jacket do you think I should wear?

I think this dress needs a belt, for sure. And maybe tougher looking shoes. Hmmm.

P.S. Lyn - I was really torn between the navy and pink scarf! The navy is lovely.

Ha ha! Scarf twins, yes! I will now always think of you when I wear mine.

Truth be told, I should've bought the dress one size smaller, but it felt a bit weird on my boobs.

I think it's one of those dresses that can work with a lot of things... I can see it with tougher shoes too; or a shorter, high-contrast necklace.

Have you noticed how nautical crazy Joe Fresh is right now? More than 50 per cent of their Spring line is striped. Good thing those stripes look cute.

I also tried on a loose cream tee with little anchors all over it that I liked. Sadly it was a bit too see-through and thin for a tank underneath. Angie also mentioned in a post how she avoids knits because they don't hold up, so I've been thinking about that on my latest shopping trips.
