Thought I would update you on my job situation. You were all so kind in my previous post and offered wonderful words of wisdom.

Well the job I applied for didn't happen. Four weeks after applying I was notified I didn't get an interview. I requested feedback, which the gentleman kindly provided, and I appreciated greatly. The feedback was interesting and in it he stated only one applicant didn't have gloss and polish in their application and that was who they hired. So without going into too many details, I was confident it actually wasn't the job for me. I sought some advise and feedback from an older professional lady who is a friend and mentor, and works in the community sector also, and she suggested I dodged a bullet;)

So, today, at my current job, I was promoted, received a pay rise and a bonus! All effective this coming Monday. This recognition has really reinvigorated my interest and commitment to my employer. So for the moment I have no further plans to change jobs.
