I've never paid much attention to the National Geographic catalogues. Fun to look at, but never seriously considered buying anything until I found Novica.com. They sell works made by artists all over the world. I was looking for some earrings and I found these two. I wasn't sure what to expect.
The peridot came yesterday and they are gorgeous. They come from India, and the silver ones will arrive soon from Bali. They give you a first time discount of $9, and the order total with that was $110. The peridot cost $63. I have a pair of peridot earrings I rarely wear that I bought around 1990 at a jewelry store at Ghirardelli Square in SF that cost around $400.
