jewelry and clothing colors

This is just what I do, and I am not a fashion blogger or one who states anything others should do-this is just me-So to me if I am wearing a navy, burgundy, red, purple, lavender, pink, ink blue, or cobalt tops I think silver necklaces and earrings look best. Colors like light blue, taupe, browns, beige, gray, look best with gold. Anyone ever had such thoughts? I just realized I almost always do this without actually thinking about it. Black and white mostly with gold also.

Yes - I have those thought processes too, but with black and white - anything goes , to my eye, anyways. I actually prefer gold with burgundy, but burg can be bluer or redder, which makes a difference. I like to think that one's own colouring plays a role here too - and what makeup you are wearing (lipstick and eye makeup) .

I actually do the reverse of you with beige and grey - with my colouring , I prefer them with silver.

It depends on the undertone of the color - warm or cool - but gold is fine with navy and with burgundy. Again, depending on the color temp. I wear mostly silver jewelry but have a few gold pieces, as I look good in both. I use my best judgment as to which is best with a particular color I'm wearing.

I definitely think this way about particular colours. Purple, burgundy and many jewel tones go better with gold to my eye, while pastels tend to go better with white metals for me. Cobalt and navy can go either way. And for some reason, I wear white metals more commonly with black, despite me liking gold better. I just feel like my preferred blacks are cool colours (blue-blacks), and so they go better with cooler metals.

Definitely! I mostly agree with your train of thought except I prefer gold with red and white with silver. I love to see how different metals look and I've come up with many conclusions about what I like and what I don't!!

I also mix everything with everything. I have a few gold pieces that I'm always wearing ( wedding ring and a tiny necklace) and keep them on when wearing silver.

You know... I don't. I don't exactly think of jewelry as a part of fashion. I've been to too many weddings wear the old people wear moth eaten sweaters layered over with diamonds and gold. Fashion doesn't register, but the precious gems do...

My wardrobe is entirely cool-toned and that extends to jewellery, also. So, silver works best for me, plus stones that blend with my colour palette. I do have a few gold pieces - including my wedding ring - but they are rarely worn (except for the ring, of course!).

Hmm... I think I actually mix it up a lot. It's whatever particular piece(s) I feel like wearing on that day. I have a hard time wearing gunmetal, but aside from that I have both gold and silver. These days I'm wearing rose gold with just about everything.
