On your recommendation on here I got a copy of Lucy Siegle's book 'To die for: Is fashion wearing out the world?'
It has been an absolutely fascinating read. I've learned about the garment industry, clothes construction and environmental concerns I'd never heard of never mind considered. It has opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking. The author is the same age and in the same part of the world as me so the cultural references really hit home. So I'm seconding Jenni's recommendation. It's well worth a read.
On the back of it I've signed up for a dressmaking class so there may be some future WIWs with a distinctly homemade feel coming your way ylf and perhaps some hunting of vintage items!
