Jeans and a tee challenge - round 2

I decided to try a couple more attempts with the same jeans and tee. Both these versions were worn for work (in our casual workplace) in winter.

These two versions I don't feel quite capture my style direction, but they did work for my role and the weather. I tried to focus on accessories to add a different flavour but used the same bag as in the last attempt.

1) Worn on a wet rainy stormy day....(today and my hair is showing this)

2) Worn on a very cold crisp sunny day!!

...... both days working from our manufacturing facility so a need for flat comfortable footwear.

I like light colored belt and hat/scarf combo - adds nice contrast to the outfits. Necklace is pretty and works well with the whole look.
You've done well with colors and textures - like both outfits!

Thanks SlimCat - I am trying to lighten dark looks...and I do agree texture makes a big difference.

I always feel jeans and a tee (especially simple ones like this) are a very blank canvas for any look.

I love the second outfit especially! It's fabulous on you! You wear beanies and really, all hats, really well, and anything that adds a sort of "outdoorsy" vibe is a great substitute for the "glam" element when you need to be more casual.

My silver belt is unfortunately worn out but I did find it really helpful for lightening dark jeans outfits in winter.

Hmmm. My feeling is the white belt and jean combination in 1 might work better with a white or light coloured tee. Or a patterned tee that has some white in it. Maybe a striped tee? Might be worth a try.
No 2 is fab and also pretty darn cute.

Thanks Brooklyn - in general I prefer these jeans with boots rather than sneakers. I prefer the second by far.

*What are the temps for your ‘winter’ and what are the coldest months? I’m assuming it’s variable across the islands.*

Winter temp here is often from 0-4 overnight and maybe 10-15C during the day. Huge range across the country due to elevation and latitude.

Today is 10c now at 4. 30pm and will get to 0. It has been a warmer wetter week prior to today.

I don’t think anywhere here gets as cold as Canada does.

Gotcha! Wet can feel cold, though - and warm feet and head help with the comfort level, and become a style signature.
