JCrew Teddie Bag

This always happens to me. Just when I buy a cream handbag (wardrobe hole), I see a new bag from J.Crew that would much better fit my goals for 2010. Thunk thunk. I guess I could try and sell the new Kate Spade on ebay.

Hi Karen,

I went back to your other post to give you an informed answer. IMO, the Kate Spade is much more beautiful--I love the shape and the quilting. It just looks like a more special bag. Have no doubts!

I am sure it will work with your new style direction wonderfully!

The JCrew is nice! But the Kate Spade has the quilting that you said you love. I think the Kate Spade is great for your style. But you could also get the JCrew. Maybe even in a different color.

P.S. I like that the Kate Spade closes completely (at least it looks like it does from your photo), whereas the J Crew bag has just the snap closing.

Kate Spade looks special. The J Crew is classic, but I think a little more commonplace. It kind of reminds me of classic Coach, which is beautiful, but the KS seems like it's one of a kind.

I am going against the flow here as I prefer the Teddie bag. If it is for everyday which do think is the most robust leather in case you have to clean any marks off, the J Crew looks more substantial but it is difficult to say from the photo?

I love the shape of the JCrew bag, but keep in mind the first time you put something down one of those zipper side panels, it's going to bulge out and change the shape. Had it not been for the zippered sides, I would have picked this one over the KS, but the KS looks like one to hold its shape a lot better.
