I got tempted by sales on my favorite sustainable brands this month, though I didn't NEED anything. Still, I returned most of it because the items weren't great. I kept this sweater that may be only just flattering enough (bit boxy) - yet I love the color and the soft cotton-wool blend. As I'm wearing less make-up and see more signs of aging skin I am getting more interested in buying colors that really flatter me. I think this is one. I have too many pullover sweaters now, but two are starting to show bad pilling that no razor can fix (synthetic blends) and will likely be culled this year.
Then the skirt: a useful addition to my small collection of midis. Bought partly because it creates a tonal outfit with the sweater and partly as an early replacement for my cinnamon skirt that has already started to pill (1,5 years old, not often worn) and will likely last one more season at most.
As of now I'm taking a small shopping break. I'm not putting a time on it but I'm thinking at least a month of not buying 'fashion' - a basic like a new bra would be okay.
As I commented on a blog post recently, I'm not feeling connected to my 'previous' office life that I will likely return to by summer. So any new clothes are a guess really as for practicality. I have a great wardrobe and I could really use some time off from the shopping cycle to just enjoy what I have. Fingers crossed!
