Jan challenge day 26, stumpy - YouLookFab Forum

I think physically this outfit is JFE…but psychologically is a win because it reminds me of the gaucho and high boot outfits I wore and loved in Jr High School. I love these boots, they are so warm and comfortable and they fit so well under these wide crops. But on, they definitely aren’t leg lengthening. Whatever. I really like them with the cobalt and black sweater, as I wore it today #1 & # 2. #3 was how wore the pants and boots in Dec, i think this sweater was to delicate for the boots, and was much less successful then today’s outfit

Holy mother of something , those are gorgeous boots ! I’m not sure about them worn under jeans but I understand the temptation . What about wearing them with your denim midi skirt or a denim dress ?

Gauchos would envy you. Much more useful than those floppy pants they used to wear. I like both 1 & 3, but you are right, the cobalt looks better with the boots. More balanced and my word for today, dramatic.

Lisa I definitely plan to wear them with my denim skirt- today’s schedule lent itself more to the pants. And this has been an usually warm January so there hasn’t been as much opportunity to wear these boots.

I don't see stumpy either, and don't think we always need figure flattery anyway Love the boots, I am also not sure about them with the jeans (something about the length maybe?) but they are fabulous.

I agree with you, boots look much better with this sweater. I think that the cardi in #3 is too light overall and stripes are too thin to compliment the boots. Man, you continue to amaze me with your denim collection, love these jeans!

I think it’s the lighter wash of the jeans that is throwing look #1 off. I’m thinking a darker wash or black jeans would create more of a column and less horizontal breaks. I quite like the striped sweater with the fade of the jeans in #2. The boots, even with their lug sole, seem too refined for the patina of age on these jeans and the slightly rustic cozy striped cardigan. Maybe the Sam Edelman brown boots, or the olive avionics? The black boots are urban and very modern, shiny and ‘new’.

So glad that most don’t see this as stumpy. I’m definitely going to wear these boots with my denim skirt, and I’m going to wear these jeans with more refined boots the next time

This does not look stumpy to me at all, very current proportions. Those boots are to die for! Like Angie suggested, I would wear them with skirts to showcase them more. I have been enjoying your January challenge, lots of inspiration there.
