Jacquard Pants - YouLookFab Forum

Hi ladies,
I hope all is well with you. My bday is approaching and I am looking at a few things that I can buy with my bday money.
I would like to buy a pair of jacquard pants, possibly one of these:

I haven't tried them on yet. They are not too expensive but still a big purchase for me. So I want to be able to get my money's worth. First, do you think I can dress them down? If I buy them, I need to be able to wear them to work, say once a week. For now, these are my inspiration pictures:

I am thinking, I can also wear them with my denim shirt, maybe the zara jacket in orange and a white button down, and this top as well:

Secondly, do you think they will have any longevity? I would like to be able to wear them at least next season?

I think the third pair is the most versatile and can be dressed down or up as necessary.

i have tried all three of those. i am pear shaped carrying my weight in my thighs. i found all of these pants difficult to fit. the closest was the trousers, which, coincidentally were my fave. any of these pants can dress down. the zipped ones are a bit blingy for work, depending on your office. the trousers are surprisingly easy to dress down. iirc, you tend to have a dressy style even for casual wear anyway.

jacquard is heating up. the dark color also increases the pant longevity. i got a pair of royal blue brocade pants from hm. i see myself wearing them for parties for at least 5 yrs if i can stay the same size, a bigger problem!

Argh! I am a pear as well, so I knew the fit could be a problem. I was at Zara today and I saw all three pairs, but I was with my husband and I didn't want to subject him to the torture of trying them on. I find it excruciatingly painful to try on trousers and jeans, because they never seem to fit. I spend hours in the dressing room so I avoid it when I can. I guess I should just buckle down, get my derriere to Zara at a relatively quiet hour and try all of them on. I agree that the trousers seem to be the most promising pair. Thanks a lot bj!

I like them all, Bella. My vote would be the trousers, but I agree with Bj, these should all have longevity, so really it comes down to fit.
