My first outfit, literally, in months. I feel like I've worn nothing but shorts and t-shirts since June. But today I went to see The Cursed Child (the Harry Potter play) with friends. Four of us: one superfan, one average fan (me), one who saw a couple of the movies, and one familiar with neither book nor film. We all had a great time.

It was brilliantly sunny and cool, so I got to wear actual layers. The denim jacket is a good 20 years old. I've hung on to it forever because it's such a great shade of brown and an interesting cut for a jean jacket.

I also saw a woman on the train with a simple but great outfit. A navy fitted cardigan, white barrel pants, silver mules, with a cognac tote. I made a mental note to recreate the look when it is cooler (with silver boots).

I hope you had a good day as well.
