J Crew - some opinions needed

I just placed an order at Jcrew this morning. Got some amazing deals (its extra 20% off the sale section right now for anyone who is interested, and there are a couple of free shipping codes going around as well)

I bought the polka dot lana top in both the neon pink and the spiced mustard

Has anybody seen this top in person? I really like the neon pink but was just wondering exactly how "neon" is it? I'm thinking of pairing it with white trousers and my navy j crew corrine blazer and/or the deep yellow one (on a day i'm feeling very adventurous!)

I liked the Spiced Mustard as well but what would I pair it with?

How would you guys accessorize this blouse? WHat would you wear it with?

I think they are all very cute.

I'm a little confused, maybe I'm confusing you with someone else, but I read on another post that you are fairly large in the bust area and you avoid empire cuts and high neck lines. The first top seems to have a pretty high neckline, and I'm not sure how the caterina top will accomodate a large chest (without relying on a lot of cami sticking out).
I hope I'm wrong because they are all beautiful pieces. Just a few thoughts from a fellow busty girl.

Your right, I am fairly busty but I have tried both the Lana and the Caterina tops on, for the Caterine I had to size up to a 14 (I'm normally a 10/12) and it looks quite cute with a cami. I think Ana has posted a pic of herself with the top with a cami and I'll definetly post pics once I get my order

The Lana top, while being high necked is quite a nice fit and a good layering piece. Again, this doesn't fall properly into the rules however this particular top does look quite nice on. I've only tried it in the pewter colour though which is why I'm a bit apprehensive about the neon pink and the spiced mustard.

I find high necked tops don't look too bad when they are used as layering pieces. I'll try to post some pics up to show what I mean

Thanks for the clarification, Aisha. I love the look of the Caterina top and I'm glad it works for you. Can't wait to see the pictures. I love the neon pink and I think it will look great with dark denim and maybe a grey cardigan.

they all look very pretty, aisha.

the lana top im sure will look lovely in either color - they'll both compliment your skin tone fabulously. the pink one would look great with your yellow blazer. you could pair the mustard one with white pants or dark denim. you could wear some brown accessories, such as fun earrings or a bracelet.

the striped emily blouse would also look pretty with white pants. you could do sort of a nautical theme with some chunky gold chain jewelry or maybe something red. wait - that might be too patriotic. you could try more of an orange-red, like a coral, instead. it would look fab under your navy blazer.

that skirt/tee combo is fab. i love the scarf idea.

the caterina top looks like it will be very flattering. well-fitting empire waist tops are perfect for you. a cami underneath will add a little pop of color to the outfit, even if it is just white. for the orange one, you could try a brown or citrus tank underneath. you could also accessorize with purple accessories, like a chunky beaded necklace. even hot pink would be an interesting choice. the blue top would like nice with yellow, emerald green, or navy accessories.

definitely can't wait to see how you end up pairing them. (as i've mentioned in a couple other posts, my number one key doesnt work, so add exclamation points liberally throughout my post)

Looks like you got some great deals and I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures!

I like Shell's suggestion of white with the spiced mustard Lana blouse. Other colors that might look nice are black (very sharp) or the right shade of blue. I've seen the neon pink blouse in person, and it's very bright, but I wouldn't describe it as neon (it's not like a highlighter). It's a very bright fuschia color. I think it will look nice with your coloring.
