I ordered this skirt from J Crew on May 30th. I am still waiting for it to arrive. The tracking info indicates that it has been transferred to the post office, but it is not yet out for delivery and today is June 10th.

Does J Crew always TAKE THIS LONG TO DELIVER? I could have drove to the mall and bought something nearly identical in a single day.

I haven't had that happen before and I make frequent online J Crew purchases. My orders arrive promptly. I would call them.

First of all -- that is a fabulous skirt. Hope it arrives soon. If I were you, I would call both J. Crew and your local Post Office to see if you can locate the shipment. I had this issue with a Gap/Old Navy package last year. It got stuck at my post office and was not scanned in for home delivery. A couple phone calls remedied the problem. Good luck with this.

Often items shipped with free shipping will be sent on the slower option available to save the company shipping dollars. This is often the case with ON/Gap/BR/Athleta. Sometimes it will even indicate this fact when choosing a checkout option.

Other times it can actually be a company issue with the warehouse, although that would be more rare. Something going on behind the scenes like inventory, switching warehouses used, etc.

And of course, there can be shipping mistakes too.

For me it's spotty - sometimes they come right away, other times it can take longer than a week. I'd still check in with them to be sure.

It can take a while here in Canada but this is a separate issue since we face all kinds of border stuff. Other times their stuff comes quite quickly.

I asked this question last year. I bought a jacket and it didn't ship for a week. It did arrive within the 6-8 business day window.

How annoying, I hope you get your skirt soon. I ordered two items from J Crew during Memorial Weekend sale, and one arrived in two days while the other took two weeks. It may have something to do with the proximity of the warehouse/store from whichever the items are being shipped.

I don't order from JCrew often but the last time I did it took forever to get to me. I've since sent back the items to return and that is also taking forever.

I'm in NH and I tend to get their shipments rather quickly. I find that they often have a store in MA ship to me. I would think that shipping from VA would be fast to you ... NC, right? but who knows...

I am in NC, UmmLila. The package arrived today. It was actually delivered to my neighbor, but he brought it over. I'll try it on later this evening.
