I decided to debut these pants today, since it's finally below 90 degrees here, albeit with thunderstorms and humidity, blech.

So here's the chance to put the question to the test
-- platform sandals or flats? The pics are from my iPhone and are therefore not great. I included a closeup of the flats for a little detail. They're metallic, sort of right between silver and gold. The platforms are pewter.

I'm normally on Team Heels, but I have to admit, looking at the pics, I'm not so certain there's a clear winner. I do like the ease if flats...

As someone who will almost always say heels go with anything, I actually prefer the flats!

Love both, hard to choose. What are you up today? Running into any exes or ex-bosses? Then go with the heels. Otherwise you could do flats. That is a great look any way you do it.

LOL modgrl, funny you say that! I ran into the ex-fiancé from over 20 years ago on Friday night at the My Morning Jacket/Neko Case concert! I was wearing heels and my new Hudson jeans & a cute top, looking not bad if I do say so myself.

Just a running errands, working at the radio station day. I'm leaning toward the flats.

Flats! With the heels I feel like I'm seeing too much foot or something. I think my eye expects a certain amount of leg to extend from where the skinnies end at that length - and with the heels there's more than expected.

Well, I'm sure you've already chosen, but I like the flats better with the skinnies.
I didn't think I'd like the platforms with them at all, but I have to say, they're not bad either. Both pair of shoes are really pretty and you look beautiful. Hope you have a great day!

Both are cute but I say flats too. I think wig the hems rolled flats seem more casual. I the pants were unrolled then heels. You look great.

I like both myself. If you're running around doing errands, I vote flats if they're more comfortable. I think I want to see the pants unrolled with the heels (weird, right?).

Thanks for all the input! You all are so helpful! I wore the flats, with the pants rolled like in the picture. I was comfy all day long, and got a couple of compliments on the color. It takes a little getting used to for me to look down at my legs and see bright blue!

I think I like the pants rolled with the light colored shoe, and maybe when the weather is cooler, I'll do my black Repetto flats with pants rolled down. I'm a little self-conscious about these rolled down with flats because the length is *right* at the point where it most emphasizes the difference in my leg lengths. One hem just about touches the back of my shoe, and the other does not. When I roll them, or with other jeans that have a little scrunch, I can hide my lopsidedness. :-/

I'm a little late on this, but I just have to say that the flats are perfect with those pants. What you chose is lovey, and black flats would also be amazing with the bright cobalt.
