My Dad wants to buy me a birthday present. I've been wanting a white or ivory wool blazer for quite a while. I've found two contenders.
This Equipment one I pinned a long time ago. It's 28 inches long. I would have to pay for part of it, as I don't expect that much from Dad.

My Dad is a huge fan of Pendleton. And he also said you're not young or teeny-bopper anymore (thanks Dad!). Pendleton quality is superb. It's 27" long. And about 1/2 the price of the Equipment one.

They look very similar and they are both gorgeous. Since your Dad wants to get it for you I think I would go for the Pendleton version.

Pendelton, since Dad is a fan and yes, they are so similar. But it's not going to swallow you whole, is it?

They're both lovely. From the modeled pics it looks like the equipment is more of a fitted shape and the Pendleton is a little boxier, but it could totally be how they are styled on the models.

If it fits well, I'd say Pendleton. It'll make Dad happy.

They both look great and the only subtle difference I see is in the lapel, so I would say go for the Pendelton too.

I was just considering this same Pendleton blazer in the catalog I received yesterday. I have had a white blazer in mind for fall and want wool, not poly. I had the idea of a white wool tux with silk lapels but haven't found one. I did think the Pendleton would be a contender in terms of quality. I don't like the catalog picture with the sleeves bunched up. It's hard to tell the actual shape.

All fits being equal, there's something nice about the Pendleton from your father. What I can't tell from pix is how the pocket flap placement really lies. The Equipment ones look more off to the sides, while the Pendleton ones may be more centered. Could be a photo anomaly. Nice gift and a great wardrobe addition either way .

I have the shorter blazer that pendleton offers in ivory and I love it. You can't beat pendleton for quality, both in terms of fabric as well as construction. I wouldn't immediately think of pendleton for you with your edgy style but this piece is a blank canvas and you will make it your own, I'm sure. (Might run big...mine did). And the fact your dad wants it for you makes it that much more special. Go for it!

If you could try them on, that would be the deciding factor for me, it's hard to tell if the Equipment looks a bit more streamlined (pocket placement) vs. a tiny bit boxier shape for the Pendleton or if that's just in some of the photos. If the Pendleton fit well it would probably wear like iron.

Both are gorgeous! Have dad get you the Pendleton with a gift receipt and if something is off IRL return & pay for the upgrade maybe? I think I need that Pendleton in camel!

So I thought I was a 10 in Pendleton, but according to their size chart I need a 12. Probably better for layering. Anyways, it's been ordered. I called Dad to tell him, he had a print catalog with picture of it and liked it.

I'm hoping I can wear it with anything and everything. Well maybe not a swimsuit.

I really hope it works. It's gorgeous and will look amazing on you if the fit is great, and how sweet of your dad (plus, a great reminder of him for you every time you wear it.)

ETA: There is also something really cool about your having a jacket from Pendleton. It's not what anybody would expect, given your fashion forward style. And how much fun will it be when people say, "OH, I LOVE your blazer," to smile and say, "Oh, thank you! I got it at Pendleton!" And then stand back and watch their astonishment at your incredible shopping savvy, leaving no retail stone unturned.

They are both gorgeous and quite similar in style so you cannot go wrong with either of them. If Dad like Pendleton and it is half the price then it would be my choice.
Hmmm, maybe I have to look at their blazers, there is a navy there too...

I was going to vote for the Pendleton too. If your dad wants to buy, I think it will make him feel good to be able to foot the whole bill.

Both the jackets look good. Nice selections! There is something sweet about making your Dad happy as well as yourself. I'd let him buy you the Pendleton, and if it doesn't work out to be to your liking, you can upgrade to the Equipment one yourself. Either way, which ever one you choose, I'm sure this classic cut and colour will give you many happy wears. Just be sure to dry clean it regularly to keep it looking good.
