I've got Gap cash and they have 25% off right now, what should I get?

I've got a pair of L & L's, jeggings, dark denim skirt, the navy shrunken blazer that Una was talking about and a utility jacket in my cart.

In my closet, I have 2 pairs of bootcut jeans, but the darker wash is almost worn out, 1 pair of jeggings (just an Elle brand from Kohl's) and other skinnies. I have no skirts. I have a grey blazer, a black military jacket, grey pleather moto jacket, denim jacket and some other too dressy to wear much blazers.

This is the utility jacket http://www.gap.com/browse/prod.....8;cid=5739 I'm loving it in the dark olive. I can see wearing it lots in the spring with skinnies and wellie boots. We have nasty, cold, wet springs with tons of mud up here.

What do you ladies think? I can't get all of them. I really need to narrow it down to 2 items.

I love the utility jacket (and olive is one of my favorite colors). How do you feel about that statement collar? Have you worn collars like that before, and find them versatile/workable? That's the one thing I'd wonder about with the jacket, but of course you won't know how it looks until you try that baby on! It sounds like you really like it, so go for it! How about that and the denim skirt, if you have no skirts currently? Or the Una jacket, if you think that will fill a big hole?

I vote for my jacket, which is absolutely fab and very versatile - I've had to stop myself from wearing it every day since I got it! And it would look great with a white tee and denim skirt.

I like the utility jacket, too, but it seems like you have an abundance of rugged-casual jackets. I would hold off on that one unless you absolutely love it on.

How about one hole-filling item (possibly the Una jacket or the jeggings) and one indulgent item?

How does the sizing run on that your navy jacket, Una? I am broad through the shoulders and I hate it when I can't move in my clothes. Is it full enough or should I size up? If it's comfy enough, I can see myself wearing it A LOT!

So, I'm thinking the skirt and navy jacket....still thinking hard on the olive utility jacket...LOVE the collar on it. I look best with lots of volume and structure on my top half to balance out my hips. Plus, my collarbones are probably my favorite feature on my body, so I like to play them up. Is that silly?

Oh, just saw your post, Rae. You're right, I do have a lot of rugged-casual jackets, but they DO fit my lifestyle with little ones and living in a messy, rural area. Hmm, but I don't want to keep getting the same stuff...a habit of mine...I have lots of closet clones.

JACKETS: I too love the utility jacket esp. in olive. I think that collar adds some oomph and makes it unique, while it's still casual. To help you decide between the navy blazer and the olive jacket, you might want to ask yourself whether the navy jacket is quite different in style (formal vs. casual) or more versatile than the grey blazer you already have.
SKIRT:I personally wear my dark denim skirt (not a gap) a lot and I would recommend getting one.
JEANS: As to getting more jeans--do you feel that you need more slim options/jeggings or do you find yourself reaching more for the bootcuts? You mentioned you have 2 moto jackets, so maybe the long and leans will be better suited for those, if you wear them a lot. If, on the other hand, you want to have more outfits with looser and/or longer tops, then perhaps adding another pair of jeggings is a better idea. If youre not sure which ones you need more of, remember jeans in general go on sale periodically (not sure if they are on sale right now), so you can always add what you need at a discount.

You obviously WANT this jacket and have thought it through carefully! Can't you order three things (utility jacket, Una jacket, and skirt or leggings) and then plan to send at least one or more back if they're not 10s (says the little devil perched on your shoulder :)?

I got a petite size because I am so short. I have really broad shoulders also and hate any restriction in my arm movements The material has a LOT of give, even with a lining, and it is meant to have a shrunken look, so I would say to order your normal size as I did. If you read the reviews online, people often post their dimensions and the size they got, which is helpful. I know you (like me!) tend to buy bigger than you need.

Would you wear the skirt ? If you feel that you would wear it with boots in the spring, then I would suggest that. And it would work well with your lifestyle. It would carry over really well in Fall and/or a chilly Summer.

I also own the same shrunken blazer as Una and I LOVE it. I think that this could be versatile for you but with your life style, the military jacket would probably be a better choice.

And don't forget that on Wednesday, March 2 , if you ask for the coupon, you get 40% off one of the full priced items. If you get two things, try to place 2 different orders so that you get 40% off each piece.

I didn't know about the 40% off thing. Is that online too? or just in stores? I think I would definitely save any jeans for that. I'm bummed that none of the jeans I'm looking at are marked down at all. I don't usually buy their jeans full price.

I've been wanting a navy blazer ever since I sent back my Boden navy pinstripe blazer because it was too tight in the back. I think I might get the 2 jackets. I would like to find a cheaper denim skirt because I don't know how much I'll actually wear it.

Chewy-I looked at their blouses and nothing is really jumping out at me. Did you see any on their site that you thought were great? Also, I don't really wear my woven shirts very much.

Throughout the month of February, Gap was doing 40% off a full priced item every Wed. The last one is this coming Wed, the 2nd of March. I actually had coupons , but I believe ladies here on the site were able to order on the web, or print the coupon and then use it in the store.

Oh, I love my collarbones, too! Therefore, it can't be silly!

It sounds like you do love the olive jacket and it would not be too repetitive in your wardrobe - kind of sounds like you might be like me and use jackets almost like tops - so I think you should try it.

I do almost use jackets as tops, Rae. I am cold a lot, even indoors, plus most of the time when people see me, it's out and about, so I always have a jacket or coat on. It has to be comfy though.

Thanks for the info, Isabel. I'll check our Gap on Wednesday. Sounds like they may be doing the buy a pair of pants and get a top free deal too.

I vote a skirt and the blazer! I think it would make for endless wardrobe combinations!
