Since I introduced myself during my vacation in Hong Kong I wanted to share with you some of my fabulous finds. Hong Kong is a city where you can spend a fortune or not and still come away with some special things.
1. I discovered that eye glasses are cheap there. $160 bought 4 pairs of glasses complete. The "expensive" ones were the blingy Dior frames, then i selected a pair of black/white, turquoise/gold and a pair of brown/ ivory.
2. A new line of bags that I was unfamiliar with is called Charming Pop. They are leather bags made in Italy. Their logo is a champagne glass with bubbles coming out. One is a neutral leather with snake skin effect tote, and the other a fun bright green double handled number that is long enough to sling over your shoulder. This shop was full of lust worthy bags in all sizes, shapes and colors.
3. Jade Market Pearls. The 2 larger diameter are shell pearls and the smaller strand is a pretty cultured pearl strand that are slightly oval so the price was much lower than if they were perfectly round.
The shopping is fun but absolutely overwhelming. I knew from reading Angie's post on The Jade Market that I wanted some big pearls. The purses I found accidentally and I had heard about buying glasses from a flight attendant. I did have a custom dress made while I was there but have yet to receive it. My husband is returning in November for business and I'm thinking it might be a great opportunity to Christmas shop. Hmmmmmm
