And now my size is gone.

It is a stunning jacket, but just as you described, it does not really make sense to have it in your climate, There will be other equally stunning ones that are better suited to your weather.

Yeah, it's cool, but I think you have cooler jackets honestly. It might just be me, but I'd be constantly snagging those loops on door handles and the like.

Yes, it's really OK! I have second-guessed decisions, too, after options are no longer available ( not just fashion decisions). Remind yourself of your reasons to not buy the jacket and then move on.

Interesting jacket. I, too, would be snagging the loops, but the thing that would really drive me nuts is that big belt which I find OTT fussy and likely to slide out due to its weight. I'd like to see the same idea but maybe executed a little differently.

Yep, there will be other awesome jackets that are less PIA to wear. I have an open weave sweater right now that is forever yanking me back when I try to go out the front door because it catches on the latch plate.

Perfectly fine. It's important to recognize that sometimes you are missing an opportunity because the fashion gods have slated something better to come along. (And I'm telling myself that because I'm letting go of a Veda leather jacket that I love because the fit just isn't right. So you see? I'm right there with you.)

There have been a lot of comments on the forum lately about FOMO—fear of missing out. A lot of us, myself included, buy things because we're afraid they'll get away, and we think they'll make us really happy. But something else always comes along if we don't purchase. It's no fun to buy something and then only wear it a couple of times because it's not practical for our lives. It's much better to wait until you find something that is really going to work for you. Good things come to those who wait, right?
