I'm not sure if Mary Portas is well known in the US, she is a retail expert credited with turning the fortunes of Harvey Nichols, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Portas and I found her TV show Mary Queen of Shops fascinating. Now after catching a glimpse of her look book I wish her every success with her clothing line aimed at the grown up women. What do you think of the line?

I like it very much! Certainly agree with her that past the 40s it gets a bit trickier following trends; most of us need to to keep to a more sophisticated version.

I'm excited. I like Mary Portas. My credit card is at its happiest moment in the month right now and it's free delivery and returns if you sound lots of money so I've ordered a few things to try, especially as they're clearly selling out fast. I'm quite strong willed so will probably send most of it back, but I've ordered a few pairs of tights and will probably keep at least one of those!

Thank you for drawing my attention to this! I especially like that she's collaborating with eg Clarks for shoes and Radley for bags, so you are getting a tried and trusted quality and know-how as part of the package.

Thanks for showing us this. I had not heard of her but her site is now marked as a favourite! I love the dresses!! The black satin with the bees (!) is beautiful. I don't mind the shorter length as I really enjoy wearing dresses over pants and skinny jeans.

Yes the white tux does have Angie's name on it.

I need to recreate this look (but it may be a style regression ~ sigh)

Now that tuxedo jacket remind me a little: I once bought a man's evening jacket in icy pink brocade with the black accents as in this pictured jacket of Portas'.
I used to call it my Elvis jacket. People wanted to grab it away from me - in the good way.
