This was a wonderful trip. Anna and I had a great time. She is all settled in and we were able to do a little sightseeing.

I love the area she is living in and the city itself. My biggest concern for her is that it isn't handicap accessible at all. We walked all the routes she will be taking and I think she will manage. She is a resourceful little thing. The University is 3 blocks from her apt and on the way are shops and restaurants.

One of things we did was go to a local flea market on Sunday It was quite an experience. Everything is sold there. She was able to pick up a few things she needed and I picked up some scraves for myself and gifts.

Fashion wise leggings as pants are everywhere. I was surprised by that. It was also being shown in the stores we visited. While she was at school one day I headed down to the Spainish steps area and the shopping is wonderful but the choices for spring seemed very limited. Very few dresses and lots of leggings in every color and pattern imaginable.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the two of us to take a trip like this. The hardest part of the whole thing was leaving her in Italy. Skype is a wonderful thing so I talk to her often. She is trying to go on a trip to Istanbul in March. This is an experience I'm so grateful she has but I miss her.
