ISO wide white sandals and outfit advice

Thanks to the excellent YLF advice, I decided to return the cheap white wedges (pic #3) and ordered the wide width possibles in Finds. I don't like either. The Naturalizer in 1 is bone, not white, and has gold hardware, not silver. The Lifestride is comfortable in a 6W but doesn't have the fun retro vibe I loved on the cheap ones that didn't fit.

I am going to a high school graduation party, wearing this dress which I wore to a couple of weddings last summer. I have just shortened it from full length to tea length, which fits my life better.

Question 1) Can anyone point me at WIDE (D Width) white 2-2.5 inch wedge (or maybe block heel) COMFORTABLE sandals that would complement the outfit. I want something comfortable and casual enough to wear with maxi skirts and crops, so I thought the cork wedge struck a good balance. but the Lifestrides just aren't fun enough.

I just realized the model is wearing blush shoes. Could the blush BOC sandal work #4? The heel seems low and I did want white, but I am shoe-challenged so would love guidance.

Q 2) Does either pic 1 with a self sash (and Lifestrides) or pic 2 with no belt at all (and one of the cheap shoes), work? I am not crazy about the silver belt that came with. Excuse the lack of accessories and shaggy hair.

Sorry to post another urgent after being AWOL for so much for this year. Life put a lot on my plate the past few months.

These are an Angie Pick. Order at least 1/2 size down. I am generally a 6.5 or 37 in sandals and take a 6 in this style.

I think the self-belt looks really nice! I prefer it to no belt, too, as it adds a bit of polish to the look.

Thanks so much for the thoughts and suggestions! I have checked them out and am going to keep looking. I tried my blush B.O.Cs but they are too casual.

Donna - If those had a higher heel and were plain white (I have a bit of a snake phobia )they might do the trick. I love the big buckle and they look super comfy.

Firecracker - I really like the look of the Vaneli Calyx (that heel just gives it a little extra something), but unfortunately can't seem to find it in a 6 or 6.5. As Angie said today - buy early in the season. No mules for me - too uncoordinated! I like the shorter dress length better. And I have now a 6" wide strip from hemming the dress to make a self-sash!

Janet - Sadly many of the wide options aren't available in 6.5 or smaller. I didn't find anything there I liked in my size, but I am stalking them to see if some things get returned in the small sizes. I did find these block heels and wonder if they would follow the shape of my square sturdy toes, as the Naturalizers I rejected this afternoon did not. They aren't the white I was hoping for (to pick up the dress colors) but I may need to see if I can do a bit of B&M shopping on Friday.

Any further suggestions are much appreciated! I am going to keep looking. And send back my rejects so I'm not tempted to settle!

My dear Karen13, there are MANY wide white sandal possibilities online! Take your pick. And I really like the Life Strides. A much better fit.

Fun dress! I think it looks fine both with the belt and without. I usually take off the belts that come with dresses if they have a seam and fit without it. I like the look of the Naturalizer Camden's that you posted in the thread but if you really want white I would hold out until you find something more like what you want.

karen13, do you shop Zappos for shoes? If not, give it a try! I have small, extra-wide feet that are hard to fit. Free shipping and returns make it a no-brainer for me, especially since I live "in the sticks" with few shoe choices nearby. The search function allows to to filter by size, width, style, and color. When time is of the essence, though, it wouldn't work.

Angie - I realize the color too, and am excited I may wear it more now that I have shortened it. I was surprised at how hard I'm having to look on line from any of the usual easy-shipping subjects - Nordstrom, Zappos, Amazon, Macys. It seems 6/6.5W is either not included in the wide widths or sold out of styles I find appealing. I agree that the Lifestrides fit much better that the options I posted on the other thread. They are just a bit plasticky IRL and I think I'm looking for something that "closes the gap" higher on my ankle. A shoe which is refined enough for the dress, but comfortable for other uses. Maybe a unicorn right now. But onward!

Barbara Diane, lyn67, and Sara L. - I think the right blush might work - one a bit paler pink than the BOCs. I will try to see if I can find the Camden in a B&M store next time I'm in town - Fit is tricky for me with sandals and I have already ordered and rejected 3 styles so Im feeling environmentally unfriendly for all the wasted shipping!

Becky - Zappos was the source for my ones I'm sending back. My fussy feet struggle with buying shoes on line, but I am coming to terms with it being almost the only way to get wide widths these days. I am growing to love Zappos and just have to tell myself they would not offer the service the offer it weren't good business.

I hear you, Karen. Lots sold out at the moment. It’s that time of year. Same for 6.5 Narrow which is what I need in sandals. There were plenty in Feb and Mar!

Thanks for commiserating Angie! And I ordered these last night from Amazon, so crossing my fingers! I'm expanding the search from wedges to block heels. I've had good luck with some Bella Vita boots you made a top pick a couple of years ago, and the toe on these looks squarer and more in line with my foot shape.
