ISO PJ pants for tall man!

OK, YLF hive mind. As many of you know, my husband is what they call a tall drink of water. 6'6" and thin. It's always hard finding clothes that fit him properly, and pajama pants are a rare find indeed. Even ones that start out seeming long enough shrink when washed and end up being crop pants on him, which he HATES.

If anyone knows of any soft, long, durable men's PJ pants, I'd love to have some leads. The ones he has are getting threadbare and sad. I can't even find the tags in them anymore to see what brands they were that worked.

Have you tried J.Crew? They do the tallest pants for women.

ETA: Just looked, and all their offerings are either poplin or flannel. The only jersey pair have a banded hem at the ankle, which would not be preferable. I think he really likes jersey best. He has one pair of flannel already.

Lands' End? I haven't looked at pajamas, but my 6'8" father and brother can get dress slacks there.

Another though - PJ pants should be a pretty straightforward tailor/alterations commission, if you want to go that route. You can have them made extra long because sometimes one prewash isn't enough.

I'm guessing he might already be familiar with King Size, Casual Male XL and Rochester? My guy shops online thru these retailers. Also, JC Penney has big and tall sizes, though my husband says the quality has declined somewhat.

Do you sew at all? I've made pajamas for my son, and the pants were especially easy. It was the top that was trickier. If you did sew a little, you could make the pants extra long. For that matter, you could prewash the fabric several times to minimize shrinkage afterwards.

Do you have a Costco nearby? I was looking at some knit pajama bottoms for my husband the other day. When I unfolded them in the store, I had to hold the waistband at nose level to keep them off the floor;-). And I'm 5'6". They were way too long for my 6' husband.

Hmm, there is a Costco not far from me, but we're not members. I'd be curious to see those.

I own a sewing machine but have not actually used one since, um, high school. Maybe someday, but probably not anytime really soon.

My husband has tried those big & tall stores, but everything in those stores seems to be cut BIG in addition to tall -- by the time he gets the length he needs, he's swimming in fabric.

He has occasionally found a winner at Nordstrom. I'm going to do a little sleuthing of their brands.

Binkle, that site describes exactly what my husband (and his sons!) need. I wish there were more offerings on their site.

I was recently at Kohl's, and they have tall lounge pants for men. I need to buy tall clothing for DH (6'8") and my sons (6'4" and 6'3" respectively), and the microfleece lounge pants have worked out really well for them. They wash and dry without shrinking or pilling.
