ISO chocoloate croc booties - YouLookFab Forum

I've been thinking about adding dark brown croc-embossed booties to my winter collection since last year. Now I think I'm ready to bite the bullet, but of course, as soon as I start looking, they seem to evaporate in retail. (Story of my life!)

Does anyone have any recs?

Details: I don't want too high of a heel or anything too pointy. As you can see in the images, I'm not 100% committed to croc and could go somewhat warmer and lighter in color than chocolate. Generally, I prefer a welted sole for longevity. Comfort is key.

which I realize don't tick off all of your boxes. They are pointy, but not cartoonishly pointy, and do not have a welted sole. Nor are they croc embossed. However.....they are very comfortable, and elevate everything I wear them with.

I've ordered some from the brand 'melvin & hamilton' in taupe, but they came in different colorways. I did return them since they slipped off my feet, but all chelsea boots seem to do that with me.
I don't remember your location, but here in Europe I find & other stories worth looking at too.

I've seen (and considered) several pairs of brown snake booties at Nordstroms this year. I just searched "brown snake" on there to find them. Though they're pattered, they seem subtle enough to go with everything.

Angie and Lisa: Thanks for the tip about Vagabond, which are also available over here. How does sizing work on their heel boots? I'm usually am 8 or an 8.5, but a 39 is sometimes too big. Also, how do you find the color fo the Marja's? They're available in Brandy (as at Nordstrom) and Espresso over here. Just wanted to say how beautiful all those boots/pictures - especially #9 pic play on jeans/short booties/patterned socks - inspiring! Now I'm starting to think about those chocolate boots .

Actually, I have to put a plug in for Hispanita too. Very comfy and well made Spanish shoes.

Thanks, Angie! Good to know -- and much cheaper in the Uk. wish the heel were lower and the shaft slightly higher on those chelsea boots, but they are great looking.

Mine are called the Mya - and I ordered an 8.5 (I too wear a 39, or 8 / 8.5 depending on brand and fit ) which fit perfectly with a nylon knee high or thin sock. (I don't wear thick socks in dressier boots, so don't need a ton of extra room). I have another pair of Vagabonds whose style name I can't find, and took a 39 in those too. They have become my favourite shoe brand this season. And yes, the brown I ordered in the Mya is definitely chocolate-y , and with a very subtle shimmer. (also patent, so extra shine )

I saw both Vagabonds at a store in town this morning (Lisa's Mya' s and Marja's that are an Angie pic), and though they're beautiful, they're a little too high in the heel. These Joyce's are quite good in the shape, but a little too shiny, so the search continues!
