ISO: 70s Knee-high Boots in wide width

Hi all! I really would love to find 1970's style knee-high boots in a wide width sole -- like the photos below. Especially the rounded toe. I'm willing to pay a little more though would still like to keep things under $200-250.

Any ideas?

I have done some online hunting but still haven't found what I want. Everything is almond toe, pointy toe, etc. OR, everything "wide width" is wide calves. I have narrow calves and do not need wide calves for boots.

I own a pair made in Italy (no label, snagged them at a thrift shop) and love them. But they're size 10 and medium width. My feet just aren't comfortable in them anymore. I want to find something very similar but with a wide width. Does such a thing even exist?

Maybe? You might get more choice starting in around September, when fall footwear starts hitting the stores?

You might try Naturalizer. This is the Canadian site, prices in CAD (would be much cheaper in USD) and then you could wait for sales -- there are a few styles that look adjacent to what you are hoping for, at least? https://www.naturalizer.ca/en/.....ExposedCat

I don’t get what you mean by a “wide width sole”, Ket? And don’t your photos look like almond toes, anyway?

You might try DSW, Designer Shoe Warehouse, they have more wide width shoes than the other retailers I have checked so far.

Not sure what you mean by “ wide sole “ but BR and JCrew both did this boot last year - pieces would be higher than $250 though but maybe they could be found at resale ?

I think Ket means a wider than standard shoe. Here a standard sole width is B. Wider is C, D or wider.

Ket, I’d look at Naturalizer as Suz suggests. Ziera, Easy Steps (C fitting) or Wide Steps (D fitting). Not sure if these brands are available where you are. I think European brands tend to be available in wider fittings than American brands. So maybe look for European brands.

With the calf issue, I’d look for a pair that has a stretchy panel at the back or that is lace up (so you can adjust the calf fit).

Off the top of my head, I would look for Frye boots on ebay to start.

I always have good luck with Naturalizer boots, but I do have rather wide calves so your mileage may vary. They do usually have some 70s-looking styles.

By wide width, I mean the actual sole or shoe itself being wider. I have narrow to normal calves, so extra calf room isn't necessary. My toes need more room to wiggle

Jenni, I thought it was an almond toe as well. But when I tried that as a search term it didn't return the type of boot I wanted. Yet, round toe did. So, not sure how or why it's so different :}

cat2, I poured over DSW! They had a lot of nice wide options, but not int eh style I wanted--sadly. But I am still keeping them in mind!

LJP, I like both those brands but alas, they don't offer them in a wider sole. (By wide width, I mean the actual sole of the shoe itself being wider.)

Ziera was a NZ brand, went into liquidation sadly and was bought by the ubiquitous Munro brand from Australia, who have continued to run it. It was originally set up by a podiatrist in NZ decades ago so was good for comfort but it tried to update itself over the decades as originally seen as “old lady” (oh dear, I am becoming one of those!)
Easy Steps and Wide Steps are Australian. There might be retailers in the US who sell them otherwise you are looking at international shipping.
