Is TopShop worth it?

I'm going to Las Vegas in October. I noticed that there is a TopShop there at the Fashion Show mall. I've heard the NYC store is crazy. Is it worth it?

Don't know but Nordstrom is going to start carrying them.

I'm interested in hearing responses about this.

From what I've heard from British Youtubers TopShop has the same kin of quality as H&M but higher prices (for US anyway). But I've always felt they've had a lot more unique things than H&M does. But then again none of my H&M's have trend sections.

Now take this with a grain of salt because I'm definitely in the senior citizen category, but to me TopShop is much the same as Zara, Aritza, and H&M. They all offer inexpensive, trendy fashions with variations in quality. Having said that, I have purchased things from all of these shops, so I think some of their styles can appeal to a wider audience, but I'd say that their target is generally a young, trendy urbanite.

topshop generally gives a younger vibe than H&M and I feel H&M is lower quality than Zara, but Zara really is pretty classic. TopShop is all young people when I visit London. I feel out of place there. I never feel that in H&M unless I am in 'divided' section.

I've shopped there a few times in the UK and I'm pretty much in agreement with the others' comments. Fun stuff, but not super high quality. Definitely lower quality than Monsoon for example. Still probably worth a spin around, though.

I've popped into the NYC one a few times but never bought anything. Some cute stuff but my general feeling was that it was too expensive for the quality. Like Zara prices for h&m quality. I'm sure there are hidden gems but not a "travel destination" IMO.

The Bay carries TopShop too for all you Canadians. xD

My experience is that it is a touch too expensive for what you get. I'd rather walk over to H&M and get something similar but more reasonably priced.

HOWEVER-- I think the aesthetic in the TopShop stores I've seen very much so are in line with your style Anna, and your style too Nicole! I think you both should definitely check out the line if you can because I think you both would really like their selection.

Agree with Jyoti. All the trends are there...but Anna, you generally buy much higher quality. To me, Topshop is not as good quality as Zara.

I do think you might pick up something fun and frivolous there, though - and for someone like me, who might be scared to TRY a new trend, it might be worth getting it at that price point before jumping in whole hog.

Worth a look, but agree with the previous comments (based on my one visit in NYC). I found it quite amusing they were selling repros of Iron Maiden concert tshirts I had in high school. And for about 5 times what I paid for the originals. Yes I'm old.
Bottom line - equivalent to H&M, but leave no retail stone unturned. You may find a hidden gem.
