Is this too much volume

I absolutely adored this dress when I first saw it but thought it would be too much volume. Then Angie said she had seen petites in it and it looked good. I ordered it and cannot decide. I like and DH really likes it but is it flattering enough.
I also included a WIW picture from yesterday. I went antiquing and we walked over 3 miles and my outfit held up.

All comments and suggestions are welcomed.

ETA I haven’t ironed the dress yet until I decide.

Debbie- I like it! I don't think its too much volume on you because of the fitted shoulders. The color is nice on you, too.

CS-I love the sandals. I walked over 3 miles in then yesterday antiquing in the Texas Hill Country and my feet didn’t bother me at all. I highly recommend them. I may get another color.

Ooh, not at all. SOOO perfect on you. Cotton dresses like this are so great for warm weather--airy and cool! The only down side is the ironing but I think it's a fair trade off! Looks fab!

Both dresses are very pretty! I have a slight preference for the tiered dress because of the notch in neckline. Maybe add necklace to red dress for styling.

PS. It’s funny to me to hear petites say you worry these kinds of things won’t work for you. I always think that if I tried them, the amount of fabric needed would be a tent—I’d look like a great big blob of color, instead of a cute little dot. Synne pulls it off well, but I can’t think of other tall people who do. Deb and Irina do petite neutral versions of it very well.

#1 is a wonderful dress that you can certainly wear, but…it looks a little snug across the bust-line. You could try sizing up, however you might also experiment with your bras to see if that changes things up.

FWIW, I have two tops with bust darts that fit poorly with one bra style, but perfectly with another!

#2 is summer perfection - and I want your sandals!

I love the blue and think the neckline opening makes a big difference. The red color is so pretty on you, maybe a necklace would recreate the effect of the neckline on the blue?

So glad you are keeping the coral - it’s a terrific shape! And that color suits you beautifully!

I have the same blue dress and have been surprised by how wearable it is. I am, however, not looking forward to ironing it! It has been on the drying rack for a couple of days while I gather the energy to de-wrinkle it!

Both dresses look fab. I agree with Ryce that a necklace could be nice with the red/coral one. Maybe the neckline is what made you hesitate. Also, it doesn't have as many tiers as the blue one, obviously. But the effect is quite similar and I love both colors on you.
