Well, do your arms get cold? Would you wear it with another jacket over it?

I see it as kind of a trendier version of the ubiquitous north face down vest. I could see it being useful in, like, an indoor situation where you need full range of arm movement. I don't wear puffers, but it could actually work for someone who works in an overly air-conditioned lab, for example. I can't wear actual coats indoors because I can't move my arms and the long sleeves get in things.

I think it's the same as a puffer vest, but only if you can still fit the same layers you would for a sleeveless vest under it and move your arms. Like if you are trying to wear a denim jacket under it (a la Marty McFly) or a sweater or something, would it still work or would you be unable to raise your arms. Also would you look like a linebacker? (Actually you probably wouldn't).

Oh you guys are right. This is the equivalent of a vest, and I don't wear the two that I have.

I used to, when I cashiered at the grocery. I had a uniform of long sleeve tee / thermal, short sleeve tee over, and over that: puffer vest

Lol. Let it never be said there was ever a time I didn't wear puffers.

I think it's pointless, but I find myself thinking it looks kind of fun, too.
As in, I might wear this outfit. But mainly how it's shown, very fitted (for puffer stuff) over a lightweight top, and kind of sportyfied -classic (hence pointless in the sense it's a kind of one-outfit thing, and an indoor, not outdoor, item).

I reacted very emotionally to this item -- like, OMG, gorgeous, Audrey Hepburn meets Northface! That neckline!!! I LOVE IT. SO SO COOL.

I would not buy this for any practical reason. (I could not wear this like a down vest, because I would want it to be so fitted I could not put a thick sweater under it).

But, what if I just had $600 sitting around and wanted a cool down-vest / not-down-vest sort of thing? Then, yeah!

So, no, I don't think it would solve all of your problems, but it could be pretty sweet.

I actually like it for some reason. I wasn't thinking puffer vest so much as short sleeved sweater. The way it is styled takes the sportiness/gearness out of it for me

To be clear, it's not that I don't like the piece. I think it LOOKS fab. It's a pointless piece if you run cold - which Rachy does. She rivals me. Down vests for people like us are useless items of clothing. They work well for Greg though - who has a killer one from Theory. He runs much warmer than I do.

Since I can't get the link to post, look on Nordstrom, Sam Edelman, Packable Poncho and see how you respond to that one...
I like the puffer vest as a ecentric piece...as a practical piece of wear,,,not so much...

Okay. It's a lot of money for a novelty piece that you aren't decisive about, so I am saying 'nay'. I feel like if it really made your heart sing, you wouldn't be asking us to vote, right? Put that money towards something that makes you want to get up and dance in it
