This is a case where I find myself questioning an outfit I would have worn without hesitation just a few months ago. It consists entirely of pieces that I flat-out love on their own and that I know for sure work individually. My black halogen pencil skirt, while almost too big to be worn now, is an all-time fave. The red firy floral blouse gets complements every time it leaves the house and has never fitted me better. My pewter ferragamo pumps get similar treatment, and I feel amazing in my microfishnets without fail, both in the nude and black incarnations.
Worn together, though, I find myself wondering if the combination is too classic. Does it need something to bring the look into the 21st century or does it just come off as a typical Michelle look? I'm hoping the mixed metallic earrings, bracelet and bag can help out a tad, but if this needs something else to spice it up, do let me know. Corey loves it as is, but he digs classic. Over to you for some objectivity!
